The NORTHMIN STARS Sports Logo – The Northmin Stars sports logo of the Department of Education – Region X is made up of colors and images that reflect the admirable character of the Northern Mindanao sports team.
The BIG STAR represents the Department of Education (DepEd) – Regional Office 10.
Blending the strength, confidence, and power of red and the positivity, energy, and joyfulness of yellow, the star image radiates the vibrancy, creativity, and adventure of orange to the 14 Schools Division Offices (SDOs), namely: the five Provinces of Bukidnon, Camiguin, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, and Misamis Oriental; and the nine Cities of Cagayan de Oro, El Salvador, Gingoog, Iligan, Malaybalay, Oroquieta, Ozamiz, Tangub, and Valencia, which are represented by the 14 SMALL STARS.
Embracing the big star, the RIBBON highlights the Department’s optimism in delivering its programs and projects, unity among its people as One Department of Education, and achievements particularly those of its learners.
Colored green, the ribbon further communicates the Department’s value for life and growth, which may be translated to the development of the learners for lifelong learning.
While representing DepEd Region X, the Arabic numeral 10 may also be associated with the expression “Perfect 10,” which symbolizes the Department’s continual efforts toward excellence, that is, as STARS whether in academics, performing arts, or sports.
